One of my favorite parts of farming is getting to educate people about what we do and why it’s important. I also love getting to show real animals to kids who don’t often get a lot of chances to step foot on a farm.

Let’s Do Field Trips!

So, we created the Chucktown Acres Field Trip! This is a hayride, hands-on, educational journey through the farm. We talk about everything from animal husbandry to water quality to soil health to human nutrition and beyond. At the very end of the field trip, the students get to feed the pigs (always the highlight of the day).

This is a great time of year to share the farm with local groups & schools!
